Seven delegates from Nottingham attended the regional gathering in Leicester on Saturday.  There would have been eight but one of our number was called in to work and could not get away.  Everyone who attended found the event really inspirational and inspiring and we can’t wait to get started on a third time lucky establishing Nottingham City of Sanctuary.  With a school, university and theatre all working towards a sanctuary award we feel we are well on the way.  We hope to have a meeting in the near future to discuss next steps and have made contacts with Derby and Leicester Cities of Sanctuary who have kindly offered their support and experience to help us, so watch this space.
