Refugee Week 2021

We’re getting ready to host Nottingham Refugee Week across our city, from 12th-20th June!

Nottingham Refugee Week is act of welcome, a gesture of solidarity and a shared celebration with people who have sought refuge in our city and beyond. The festival runs annually from Monday – Sunday during the week that includes World Refugee Day (20th June).

It’s a chance to meet new people, make connections, have conversations and fun, and to try out new skills – from yoga to art, cooking to writing.

The festival is organised by a volunteer committee, in collaboration with wonderful community partners from across the city. Events are open to all.

Check out events on our website at https://nottinghamrefugeeweek.org/2021/

and also see the schedule-in-progress attached here.
In particular, please join us for the ‘Soft’ Launch, which will take place on Sneinton Market, 10am-2pm, on Saturday 12th June. (This is being hosted as part of the regular open-air market; please adhere to social distancing guidelines.) There’ll be music, art and craft, information and cooking going on – something for everyone!
